우리는 항상 흔한 풀의 곁을 지나고 있다.
싹이 자라 꽃을 피우고 열매를 맺고
씨앗을 여기저기 퍼트리는 가을을 지나면
모든 생명체들에게 조용한 겨울의 시간이 찾아온다.
그러나 그 사이 어디 즈음의 시간과 공간에는
조금은 일찍 발화하거나 뒤늦게 열매를 맺는
삶이 또한 존재한다.
자잘한 씨앗들이 겨울을 나는 동안
그들의 생존에 관심을 기울이는 이는 별로 없다.
꼿꼿하게 말라버린 미라의 형상처럼 그러나
강건한 삶의 형태처럼 풀의 겨울 즈음은 아름답다.
그리고 그 사이 어디선가는 새로운 봄이 움트며
자신의 자리를 차지하려 한다.
흔한 풀은 부정할 수 없는 인간과 자연의 시간이다.
We are always easily passing grasses.
All living things face quiet winter after passing the fall
during which newly produced seeds from the matured plants
disperse here and there. But, somewhere in between,
there is life that comes a little early or bears fruit late.
Few people pay attention to the survival of tiny seeds
getting through the winter.
Grasses around winter are beautiful as a form of
robust life although they look like upright dried mummies.
And somewhere in between, spring comes again,
trying to take over. Common grasses are undeniably a time
of humans and nature.
